ML18053A123), March1,2018 (ADAMS Accession No.ML18072A224), and April10,2018 (ADAMS Accession Nos.ML18102A521 and ML18113A132), Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) submitted an application for subsequent license renewal of Renewed Facility Operating License Nos.

DPR-31 and DPR-41 for the Turkey Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 3 and 4 (Turkey Point) to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) pursuant to Section 103 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, and Part 54 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Requirements for renewal of operating licenses for nuclear power plants.

The NRC staff from the Divisions of Materials and License Renewal (DMLR) and of Engineering (DE) is reviewing the information contained in the subsequent license renewal application and has identified, in the enclosure, areas where additional information is needed to complete the review.

The purpose of this document is to provide Revision 1 to the Requests for Additional Information (RAI) Set 8, previously issued on January 15, 2019 (ML18341A003). Revision 1 modifies RAI Set 8 as follows:

Seven RAIs included in the previously provided RAI Set 8, have been revised following a clarification discussion with your staff on the RAIs in draft form. It was determined, by the NRC staff, that the RAIs could be revised to more effectively present the information requests. The revised RAIs 3.5.2.2.2.6-1, 3.5.2.2.2.6-2, 3.5.2.2.2.6-4, 3.5.2.2.2.6-5, 3.5.2.2.2.6-6, 3.5.2.2.2.6-7, 3.5.2.2.2.6-9 are contained in the attached document.

Three RAIs - 3.5.2.2.2.6-3, 3.5.2.2.2.6-8, and 3.5.2.2.2.6-11, which were clarified following the discussion with your staff on the RAIs in draft form, are also included in Revision 1 of RAI Set 8 and contained in the in the attached document (these RAIs were not included in the initial RAI Set 8).

Five RAIs - B.2.2.3-1, 4.5-1, 4.5-2, 4.5-3, and 4.5-4, which were clarified following a discussion with your staff on the RAIs in draft form, are also included in Revision 1 of RAI Set 8 and contained in the attached document (these RAIs were not included in the initial RAI Set 8).

The modified requests for additional information were discussed with Steve Franzone of your staff, and a mutually agreeable date for the response is within 30 days from the date of this e-mail for the revised and newly provided RAIs.
