Dear Mr. Dietrich:

By letters dated August 6 and December 4, 2012 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Nos. ML12220A166 and ML12341A278), Southern California Edison (SCE, the licensee), submitted and requested approval of several requests for relief for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), Units 2 and 3. By letter dated December 27,2012 (ADAMS Accession No. ML13002A008), SCE requested revision to the reactor vessel surveillance capsule withdrawal schedule.

Subsequent to the submittals, the licensee notified the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff that SONGS would be retired. By letter dated July 30, 2013 (ADAMS Accession No. ML13212A250), the licensee withdrew the requests for relief and the revision to the reactor vessel surveillance capsule withdrawal schedule. The purpose of this letter is to acknowledge the withdrawal of these items, and to notify the licensee that the NRC staff will close Task Assignment Control (TAC) Nos. ME9201, ME9202, ME9203, ME9203, ME9204, ME9205, ME9206, ME9207, ME9208, ME9209, ME9210, MF0335, MF0336, MF0438, and MF0439.
