License No. DPR-49 Duane Arnold Energy Center Security Plan Change Revision 13 In accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 10, Part 50.54(p)(2),

NextEra Energy Duane Arnold, LLC (NextEra), submits Revision 13 of the Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC) Security Plan. This revision of the Plan adopts NEI 03-12, Revision 7, "Template for the Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, Safeguards Contingency Plan, [and Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation Security Program]." This revision also adds additional changes regarding staffing, and the technology used for badge verification.

NextEra has determined the changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the DAEC Security Plan and therefore the changes have been made pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2). Enclosure 1 contains a Change Synopsis, and Enclosure 2 contains the revised Security Plan.
