Subject:

Revisions to Peach Bottom Operating Exam Materials for the February 2007 Initial NRC Examination The following materials were revised based on comments from the NRC Examination Team during the on-site exam preparation held January 7 - 10,2007.

I. Administrative JPMs:

1. Replaced (modified) SRO Partial Procedure JPM (Equipment Control) with a New JPM - (expected to be Determine PMT Requirements for Valve Operability).
2. Modified the SRO Primary Containment PurgeNent Valve Cumulative Hour Log JPM (Radiation Control) such that the supplied data sheet contains two errors vice one.
3. Enhanced the task conditions and initiating cues on several JPMs to provide more clarity, and to allow administering the JPMs in a group setting.

V

4. Made editorial changes to JPM documents based on NRC examiner comments.
11. Control Room JPMs:
1. Modified ADS Reset Following Blowdown JPM ((c on ES-301-2) such that the task can be completed even though SRV tailpipe temperatures are above the alarm setpoint.
2. Modified Core Spray IST JPM (d on ES-301-2) to include performing all portions of the IST (expect data taking); removed Alternate Path feature.
3. Replaced TBCCW JPM (g on ES-301-2) with a Modified Bank JPM -

Place Emergency Cooling Water in Service.

4. Added cue after step 14 of PRO Scram Actions JPM (h on ES-301-2) to allow JPM to be terminated after SBGT is placed in service; deleted additional steps.

111. In-plant JPMs:

W 1. Changed RCIC JPM (3 on ES-301-2)from Unit 3 to Unit 2;added criteria to account for applicant selecting the wrong unit.

2. Made editorial changes to JPM documents based on NRC examiner comments.

IV. Simulator scenarios:

1. Scenario #1:
a. Added note to turnover sheet to direct crew to perform power ascension (event #1) in parallel with securing drywell purge (event #3).
b. Shortened control rod drift event (#2) by allowing manual insertion of malfunction on lSfrod, and by deleting malfunction when control rod is scrammed via the individual scram toggle switch.
c. Reduced leak rate on Recirc system leak event (#6) to ensure crew attempts to spray the drywell before ECCS pumps auto-start.
2. Swapped scenario #2 with the spare scenario (#4)- scenario #4 is now scenario #2; scenario #2 is now (spare) scenario #4.

v 3. Scenario #3 - modified loss of RBCCW event (#3) such that the lStpump trips due to motor overload (breaker overcurrent trip) and the 2d(standby) pump trips shortly after start.

4. Scenario #4:
a. Raised the power level at which the scenario begins (to -83%) such that the URO must insert GP-9 control rods following the recirc pump trip event (#4).
b. Changed diesel generator (DG) faults such that on the LOOP event (#5/6)

DG #2 fails to auto-start and the breaker for DG #4 fails to auto-close.

5. Added specific information regarding critical tasks to all scenarios.
6. Made editorial changes to scenario documents based on NRC examiner comments.
7. Revised Forms ES-301-4, ES-301-5, and ES-301-6 to reflect the new scenario series and revised critical tasks.
