Dear Sir:

This application for an amendment to the James A.

FitzPatrick Technical Specifications proposes changes to Table 3.2-6, " Surveillance Instrumentation," on page 76a. These changes update the suppression chamber water temperature instrumentation to reflect modifications installed to meet Regulatory Guide 1.97.

These changes resolve one of the Technical Specification corrections committed to by the Authority in Reference 1.

Enclosed for filing is the signed original of a document entitled " Application for Amendment to operating i License," with Attachments I and II thereto, comprising '

a statement of the proposed change to the Technical Specifications and the associated Safety Evaluation.
