Pilot Oversight Program inspection Plan for the FitzPatrick Nuclear Plant 1
Dear Mr. Colomb:
On May 12,1999, the NRC staff held a planning meeting to identify the inspection activities at your FitzPatrick facility over the next six months. This meeting was held to support the pilot of the new oversight process. The purpose of this letter is to inform you of our planned inspection activities so that you will have an opportunity to prepare and to provide us with feedback on schedule conflicts.
During the next six months (June 1999 to November 1999), we plan to perform the inspections listed on the two enclosures to this letter. Enclosure 1 lists inspections which are scheduled during the next six months. Enclosure 2 lists recurring resident inspections. These inspection activities are grouped by safety comerstone areas and contain information on the inspection, type of inspection, dates, and number of inspectors.
Regarding the number of inspectors, we may decide to augment these inspection activities with additional inspectors, technical reviewers, or evaluators in order to train these individuals in our new oversight process. Therefore, some of these inspection activities may involve more NRC personnel than expected for a routine baseline inspection.
