Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings a.
(Closed) Violation V,~ 413,414/81-02-05, Training. Duke Power Company letter of response dated May 13,'1981 has been reviewed and determined to be acceptable by Region II.
The inspector held discussions with licensee QA personnel and examined the corrective actions as st ed in the letter of response. The ~ inspector concluded that Duke Power had determined the full xtent of the subject noncompliance, performed the necessary survey and follow-up actions to correct the present conditions and developed the necessary corrective actions to preclude recurrence of similar circ;umstances. The cor ective actions identified in the letter of response have been implemented.

(Closed) Infraction 413,414/80-09-07 Gonconformance Procedures Duke Power Company letter of response dated August 15, 1980 has -been reviewed and determined to be acceptable by Region-II. The inspector held discussions with licensee design coordinator and ' examined the corrective actions as stated in the letter of response. The inspector-concluded that Duke Power had determined the full extent of the subject.

On July 3,1980, Duke Power Company notified IE:II of a 50.55(e) item concerning lack of radiation cure on cross-linked polyethylene cable conductor.
The Construction Deficiency Report t 2s submitted on August 1, 1981. The report has been reviewed and <ctermined to be acceptable by IE:II. The inspector held discussions with responsible licensee representatives, reviewed supporting documentation, and observed representative samples of work to verify that the corrective action identified in the report has been completed.

held discussions with responsible licensee representatives, r viewing supporting documentation, to verify that the corrective action identified in the report has been completed.

Electrical (Cables and Terminations II) Obser,vation of Work and Work Activities (Unit 1)
The inspector-selected 10 cables for examination as follows:
1*ATC1113, 1 * ATC 449, 1 *ATC764, 1 *CAS E1, 1 * CA522, 1* EP E501, 1 * EP E502, 1* EPC576, 1* EPC 577 and 1*EQB539.
The cables were examined to assure the SAR and QAM requirements were complied with in tne areas of storage, handling, protection. identification use of specified material, size, type, QC and work procedures, drawing control, termination components locatio1, routing, t
separation, raceway supports, raceway identification, caole pulling, raceway loading, terminations, high potential testing as required and nonconformance control.
