Results Of the three areas inspected, no violations or deviations were identified.

Exit Interview The inspection scope and findings were summarized on May 22, 1981 with those persons indicated in paragraph 1 above.

Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings (0 pen) Unresolved Item (414/80-33-01) Identification of Concrete Honeycomb.

The licensee methods are not clear as to the identification and tracking of honeycomb that occurred in concrete pours prior to 1979.- Observations and discussions with responsible engineers disclosed that honeycomb which

occurred prior to 1979 is now being tracked and repaired according to revised instructions in procedure M-2.

This item remains open pending review by NF.C of the licnesee's records on identification and repair of honeycomb which occurred prior to 1979.

Independent Inspection The inspector examined ongoing work activities in Units 1 and 2, the soils and concrete testing laboratory and completed concrete structures.

No violations or deviations were identified.

Containment (Structural Concrete II) - Observation of Work and Work Acti-vities The inspector observed partial placement of pour number RB2-33B, 4716 in the Unit 2 reactor building dome. Acceptance criteria examined by the inspector appears in:

Procedure M-2 c.

CNS-1109.00-1, Specification for Concrete for Category I Structures Preplacement inspection was indicated by the properly signed pour card.

Placement activities pertaining to delivery time, free fall, flow distance, layer thickness and consolidation conformed to specifications. Activities were continuously monitored by QC personnel.

Sampling for temperature, slump, air content, unit weight and cylinder molding were taken in accordance with specifications and procedures. Past placement inspection revealed the pour card was signed and prescribed curing was in progress.

Examination of the batch plant and stockpiles showed materials are being

controlled and accurate batch plant records were being generated.

No violations or deviations were identified.
