I During the rc view of the instrument valve purchase order package, no.

l 72866, the inspector observed that the receiviag checklist inspection

!

report indicated that the in:trument valves were "Not For N1, N2, or i

N3 Use".

The inspectur then reviewed the Met-Ed, Quality Control,

'

Accept Tag for this purchase order and ascertained that the Accept Tag

,

contained the same statement "Not For N1, N2, or N3 Use".

!

l The inspector examined the installation of this modification as described

!

in paragraph 2.b of this report and ascertained that three instrument valves from this purchase order were installed. Additionally, the.-

l latest approved-for-coustruction drawing, B-308-856, Revision IA-1

!

indicates that the classification of this installation is Nuclear

.

Class-N3.

l

The inspector examined other items of this purchase order and ascer-i tained that numerous other instrument valve Quality Control, Accept i

Tags contained "Not For N1, N2 or N3 Use".

j i

The inspector requested tha', the 11censee ascertain whether other

'

' instrument valves from tH s purchase order were installed in Nuclear

!

Class N1, N2, or N3 classified installathns, j

The inspector identified this as an unresolved item, which will be the

!

subject of a further review by an NRC inspector during a subaaquent IE q

inspectio: (81-05-01).

b.

The inspector examined completed work on differential pressure switch I

(DPS 914), cable, conduit, instrument tubing and instrument valves to asce?tain whether applicable requirements have been met on the installa-

!

tior of the components r-d materials.
