Subject: Combined Inspection Report Nos. 50-220/86-19 and 50-410/86-54 This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. J. Hawxhurst of this office on September 29 - October 2, 1986 of activities authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-63 and NPF-54, and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Hawxhurst with Mr. T. Roman and others of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified. However, a concern was brought to your attention regarding your off-hours dose assess-ment capability. Your letter of October 8,1986 describes the actions which you are taking to correct this situation. Thank you for informing us of your planned actions.
