Update Report - Fire Door OC313 Inoperable AECM-83/0812 This is an update to a previous report submitted October 26, 1983, for the event described below. The purpose of this update is to provide a revised estimated completion date.

On September 26, 1983, fire door OC313, which is the double door to the main entrance of the lobby in the Control Building, was reported to be inoperable. The door had been damaged as a result of heavy use and would no longer secure. In accordance with Technical Specification 3.7.7.a. a fire watch was established. Because the door could not be returned to an operable status within seven days, the details concerning this event are being submitted as a Special Report pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2.

The parts necessary to repair the door are presently on order and the repairs are now expected to be complete by February 28, 1984 The fire watch will be maintained until the door is restored to an operable status. This condition has no effect on the health and safety of the public and does not constitute a threat to plant safety.
