Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-29 Special Report 93-006 Inoperable Area Radiation Monitors GNRO-93/00139 Gentlemen:
Drywell High Range Area Radiation Monitors 1D21-K648A and 1D21-K648D and Containment High Range Area Radiation Monitors 1D21-K648B and 1D21-K648C were inoperable due to performance of GGNS Plant Surveillance 06-IC-1D21-R-1002, Containment /Drywell High Range Area Radiation Monitor Calibration.
Final calibration of this surveillance was delayed due to the Containment Refuel Floor Polar Crane being used in refueling outage activities.
The above mentioned ARMS exceeded the 7 days allowed outage time specified by Technical Specification 3.3.7.5.
ARMS 1D21-K648A and 1D21-K648D were returned to operable status on November 9, 1993 at 1130 hours0.0131 days <br />0.314 hours <br />0.00187 weeks <br />4.29965e-4 months <br />.
ARMS 1D21-K648B and 1D21-K648C were returned to operable status on November 13, 1993 at 1400 hours0.0162 days <br />0.389 hours <br />0.00231 weeks <br />5.327e-4 months <br />.
Therefore, Entergy Operations is providing this Special Report in accordance with the actions required by Technical Specification 3.3.7.5.
