On March 27, 1994, during a lightning storm in the vicinity of_the site, an apparent lightning strike occurred on the Meteorological Monitoring Tower at 1410 hours0.0163 days <br />0.392 hours <br />0.00233 weeks <br />5.36505e-4 months <br />.
Information for wind speed and wind direction at the 162' elev'ation was unavailable for more than 7. days.
In accordance with Technical Specification 3.3.7.3, this special report is being submitted.
Initially the backup meteorological tower was not functioning, however, it was recovered by March-28,_1994 and provided the monitoring information for the 33' elevation.
Damaged instrument sensors for the primary tower required extensive repair and troubleshooting.
