Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-13 File 0260/L-835.0 Special Report 83-100/0 - Fire Door OC619 Blocked Open to Support Planned Maintenance Activities AECM-83/0740 On October 7, 1983, fire door OC619 to the stairwell on elevation 177 feet in the Cor. trol Building was blocked open to support planned maintenance activities (penetration resealed). Fire watches were established in accordance with Technical Specification 3.7.7 until the door was restored on October 31, 1983.

This is submitted as a Special Report pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2 since the seven (7) day Limiting Condition for Operation (LCO) was exceeded. The event had no effect on the health and safety of the public and did not constitute a threat to plant safety. This is a final report.
