'Jnit 1 Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-13 File 0260/L.-835.0 Special Report 83-096/0 - Fire Door OC313 Inoperable AECM-83/0687 On September 26, 1983, fire door OC313, which is the double door to the main entrance of the lobby in the Control Buf1 ding, was reported to be inoperabic. The door had been damaged as the result of heavy use and would no longer secure. In accordance with Technical Specification 3.7.7.a. a fire watch was established. Because the door could not be returned to an operable status within seven days, the details concerning this event are being submitted as a Special Report pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2.

The parts necessary to repair the door are presently on order and the repairs are expected to be complete by December 15, 1983. The fire watch will be maintained until the door is restored to an operabic status. Ti'is event has no effect on the health and safety of the public and does not constitute a threat to plant safety.
