Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-13 File 0260/L-835.0 Special Report 83-085/0 - Fire Door 1D302 Latch Mechanism Discovered Damaged AECM-83/0594 On August 23, 1983, it was discovered that the latch to fire door 1D302 of the Division I Diesel Generator Room was damaged. Fire watches were established in accordance with Technical Specification 3.7.7 until the door was restored on September 10, 1983.
This is submitted as a Special Report pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2 since the seven (7) day Limiting condition for Operation (LCO) was exceeded. The event had no affect on the health and safety of the public and did not constitute a threat to plant safety. This is a final report.
