Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit i Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-13 File 0260/L-835.0 Special Report 83-028/1 - Update Report - Fire Rated Penetrations Opened to Implement Design Change Packages AECM-83/0546 This is an update to a previous report submitted on May 4, 1983, for the following event. Beginning on March 29, 1983, the fire rated penetrations, as listed on the attached page, were opened to implement design change packages.

Hourly fire watches were established within 1 hour1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br /> and will be maintained for the duration of the planned maintenance activities in accordance with Technical Specification 3.7.7. The purpose of this update is to provide a revised estimated completion date for the fire rated penetrations that have not been restored.

These conditions have no affect on the health and safety of the public and do not constitute a threat to plant safety. The remainder of the work tasks are now expected to be completed by October 15, 1983. This is reported as a Special Report pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2.
