Update Report - Fire Barriers Opened to Support Planned Work AECM-83/0544 This is an update to a previous report submitted April 21, 1983, for the j following event. On March 17 and 19, 1983, several fire barriers in the Control Building and Auxiliary Building were opened to support implementation of design change packages. The pdrpose of this update is to provide a revised estimated completion date.

Hourly fire watches were established in accordance with Technical Specification 3.7.7. All penetrations are expected to be restored by October 15, 1983. This is submitted as a Special Report pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2 since the seven day Limiting Condition for Operation time limit of Technical Specification 3.7.7 was exceeded.
