Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-13 File 0260/L-835.0 Special Report 83-064/0 - Fire Door Blocked Open to Support Planned Work Activity AECM-83/0438 On June 26, 1983, fire door 1A413 to stairwell 1A12 on elevation 166 feet of the Auxiliary Building was blocked open to support a planned work activity.

A fire watch was established at the start of the planned maintenance activity and will be maintained for the duration in accordance with Technical Specification 3.7.7.

The door was not closed by the seven day time limit of the action statement, therefore, this is being submitted as a Special Report pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2. This condition has no affect on the health and safety of the public and does not constitute a threat to plant safety. The planned maintenance activity is expected to be completed by September 12, 1983.
