SUBJCCT: Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-13 File 0260/L-835.0 Special Report 83-040/0 - Fire Rated Penetrations Opened to Implement Design Change Packages AECM-83/0310 Beginning on April 24, 1983, the fire rated penetrations listed on the attached page were opened to implement design change packages. Hourly fire watches were established within one hour and will be maintained for the duration of the planned maintenance activities in accordance with Technical Specification 3.7.7.

l This condition has no affect on the health and safety of the public and l does not constitute a threat to plant safety. The work tasks are expected to I be completed by July 1, 1983. This is reported as a Special Report pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2.
