Update Report - Smoke Detectors in the LPCS Pump Room Covered to Perform Planned Maintenance AECM-83/0279 This is an update to a previous report submitted on March 16, 1983. The event for which the report was submitted occurred on February 2, 1983, when smoke detectors in the LPCS pump room were covered in order to perform a planned activity. An hourly fire watch was established in accordance with Technical Specification 3.3.7.9. The event was reported pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2.

The work is still in progress. This condition has no affect on the health and safety of the public and does not constitute a threat to plant safety. The purpose of this report is to provide an estimated restoration date of June 15, 1983, for the smoke detectors.
