Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-13 File: 0260/L-835.0 Special Report 83-018/0 - Fire Rated Doors Blocked Open to Support Planned Work AECM-83/0237 On March 7, 1983, fire rated doors OC202, OC105, and OC106 were blocked open to support work performed under Design Change Package (DCP) 82/5004. The doors open to the stairway and corridors on elevations 93 and til feet of the Control Building. The work package was performed to install a power supply to the Emergency Response Facility Information System (ERFIS) computer and its peripherals.

The doors were restored to operability on April 5, 1983. An hourly fire watch was maintained during the Limiting Condition for Operation (LCO) in accordance with Technical Specification 3.7.7. Since the seven day time limit of the LCO was exceeded, this is submitted as a Special Report pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2 Yours truly,
