Dear Sir:
On' November 20, 1979 and November 19, 1982, Florida Power Corporation (FPC) submitted Technical Specification Change Request No. 53 and Change Request No.
53, Revision 1, respectively. The intent of the change was to allow more flexibility in the allowable outage time and/or allowable calibration error. The problem of overly restrictive allowable outage time is being addressed generically by the Technical Specification Improvement Program and the Atomic Industrial Forum.
FPC expects these activities to resolve the allowable outage time problem and respectfully withdraws Change Request No. 53 and Change Request No. 53, Revision 1.
