Dear Mr. Denton:
Enclosed are three (3) originals and forty (40) copies of Technical Specification Change Request No. 53, Revision 1, requesting amendment to Appendix A of Operating License No. DPR-72. As part of this request, proposed replacement pages for Appendix A are enclosed.
Change Request No. 53, Rev.1, is an application for a licensing amendment to allow a calibration error of up to 2% RATED THERMAL POWER in the out-of-core instrumentation, as discussed with members of your staff. Revision 1 is consistant with Revision 4 of the B&W Standard Technical Specifications (NUREG-0103). Change Request No. 53, submitted November 20,1979, is superseded by Change Request No. 53, Rev.1.
FPC considers Change Request No. 53, Rev. 1, to be a Class Ill Amendment per 10 CFR 170.22 as it involves a single safety issue. The licensing fee for Change Request l
