Please find the enclosed supplement to Licensee Event Report (LER) 97-003-03 regarding Generic Letter (GL) 96-01 testing deficiencies. This supplement reports test deficiencies discovered in May 1997.
Florida Power Corporation's (FPC) GL 96-01 review and corrective action will be completed prior to startup from the current outage and is identified as FPC Restart issue R-1. Using the guidance contained in NUREG-1022 Revision 1, Second Draft, additional supplements to this LER will be submitted to report related logic system testing deficiencies. FPC's current schedule is to provide a final supplement which will identify detailed actions to prevent recurrence by August 15,1997.
This report is submitted by FPC in accordance with 10 CFR 50.73.
