Please find the enclosed Licensee Event Report (LER) 50 302/97 035 00. This LER discusses a discrepancy where the power supplies for the Makeup and Purification System High Pressure injection (HPI) valves and normal inventory makeup valves were not protected from the of fects of a postulated Appendix R fire in the Main Control Room (MCR) or Cable Spreading Room (CSR). This report is being submitted pursuant to 10CFR50.73.
