Dear Sir:
Florida Power Corporation commited to complete corrective actions for Licensee Event Report (LER) 50-302/97-018-00 by October 30,1997. LER 50-302/97-018-00 discusses the potential for losing chilled water to the Control Complex Ventilation System following a High Energy Line Break in the Intermediate Building.
The corrective actions discussed in the LER included an evaluation for impact on the Chilled Water System. The evaluation concluded that "afficient time does not exist for the operator to isolate the penetration coolers prior to failure af the operating Chilled Water System chiller, a single active failure of the standby Chilled Water System chiller will cause the loss of all chilled water to the control complex. The modification was scheduled to be completed by October 30, 1997. However, the modification to preclude chiller failure will not be completed until No'. ember 20,1997.
