PROGRAM PLAN ASSOCIATED REQUEST FOR RELIEF N0. 18 FOR ST.

LUCIE NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT 2 The staff, with technical assistance from its contractor, the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL), has reviewed and evaluated the information provided by Florida Power and Light in its letter dated October 15, 1993, related to the second ten-year interval inservice inspection program plan Request for Relief No. 18 for the St. Lucie Nuclear Plant, Unit 2.

Based on the information submitted, the staff adopts the contractor's conclusions and recommendations presented in the Technical Evaluation Letter Report attached. The alternative contained in Request for Relief No. 18, Part C is authorized pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(a)(3)(1). The alternatives contained in Parts B and D of Request for Relief No. 18 are 4

authorized pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(a)(3)(i), with conditions. Part A of the request is denied.
