SUMMARY

OF THE MAY 17, 2023, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2022 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION On May 17, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (EDT), an information meeting with a question and answer session was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2022 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, and with general information on the NRC. The hybrid meeting was held at the Oak Harbor Public Library in Oak Harbor, Ohio and was accessible online. The NRC representatives discussed plant performance with members of the public and a number of state employees. Representatives from Energy Harbor were also present at the event.

The NRC discussed their assessment of Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station performance during the public outreach. The assessment information was documented in the March 1, 2023, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML23055A108). Representatives from the NRC made copies of the above letter and other materials available to the public in attendance. At the end of the presentation, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NRC staff and Energy Harbor representatives.
