Facility: Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Docket No: 50-346 Date and Time: Wednesday, May 17, 2023 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (EDT)
Location: Hybrid meeting: Oak Harbor Public Library 147 W. Main Street, Oak Harbor, OH 43449 Webinar (Via Microsoft Teams)
Purpose:
The NRC staff will host a hybrid meeting to present the NRCs assessment of safety performance at Davis-Besse for 2022, as described in the 2022 annual assessment letter. Following the presentation, the NRC will respond to questions specific to the safety performance of the station and the NRCs role in ensuring safe plant operations.
NRC Attendees: Billy C. Dickson Jr., Chief, Reactor Projects Branch 2, Division of Operating Reactor Safety Russ Cassara, Resident Inspector, Davis-Besse Others as designated Public Participation: This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues.
Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments toward regulatory decisions at this meeting.
The NRC staff will provide guidance during the webinar on the methods available to ask a question. Alternatively, questions may be submitted in advance to Billy.Dickson@nrc.gov.
