, DRAFT uun oa sa 1Are riuteccAun oysvem IIR 83 Valves Failed to Meet "As Found" Acceptance Criteria Possible generic implications. The licensee made adjustments to blowdown rings which were not expected to affect the lift setting but which proved to affect the lift settings. The vendor (Dresser) recommendations for adjusting these rings is not clear because apparently there are two different types of rings that have to be set. T. Wambach stated that he took this LER to the people in the Mechanical Engineering Branch who were previously involved with Dresser valve settings. It is possible that some of these rings adjusted according to the vendor's recommendation could be affecting the valves operation.
