DISCUSSION /POSSIBLE VOTE ON RESTART OF PALISADES, 10:00 A.M., FRIDAY, MARCH 20, 1987, COMMISSIONERS' CONFERENCE ROOM, D.C. OFFICE (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
The Commission was briefed by the staff and representatives of Consumers Power Company on the readiness to restart Palisades Nuclear Power Plant.
Presentations by the licensee were made by:
William McCormick, President and Chief Executive Officer Fred Buckman, Vice President, Nuclear Joseph Firlit, Plant General Manager The Commission, with all Commissioners agreeing, authorized the Regional Administrator of Region III to permit Consumers Power Company to restart Palisades when the identified prerequisites to restart are complete.
The Commission requested the staff to upgrade its briefing packages and transmit ther. to the Commission with appropriate Commission review time.

Palisades.
Commissioner Asselstine encoura ged the licensee to complete its evaluation of the safety sy stens as quickly as possible.
