Inspection No. 70-398/87-03 This refers to the routine safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. A. Della Ratta of this office on May 12-14, 1987 at Gaithersburg, Maryland of activities authorized by NRC License No. SNM-362 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Della Ratta with yourself and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspec-tion Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspec-tion consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
