' Inspection No. 070-00398/87-001 On March 12, 1987 , C. T. Oberg of this office conducted a special safety inspection at Building 245, at the above address, of activities authorized by J 3

the above listed NRC license. The inspection was limited to a review of an I incident involving the receipt of a shipment containing byproduct material with j a package surface radiation level in excess of 00T limits.

The findings of the inspection were discussed with Mr. Lester Slaback, Jr. and Mr. Dan Golas, at the conclusion of the inspection.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violation were identified.

In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice", Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the Public Document Room. No reply to this letter is required.
