This refers to the Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) inspection by members of the Headquarters staff conducted on July 13,1999, at your facility in Gaithersburg, MD. The purpose of this inspection was to determine whether activities authorized by your license were conducted safely and in accordance with NRC requirements. At the conclusion of the inspection, an exit briefing was conducted with those members of your staff identified in the enclosed report. l l
Areas examined in the inspection are identified in the report. Within these areas, the l inspection consisted of selective examination of relevant records, interviews with facility . l employees, and a walkthrough of nuclear material storage and receiving areas.
