Reports Required by 10 CFR 73.71 NRC licensees subject to 10 CFR 73.71 (" Reports of unaccounted for shipments, suspected thefts, unlawful diversion, radiological sabotage, or events which significantly threaten or lessen the effectiveness of safeguards.") are required to submit reports of safeguards events to the " appropriate NRC Regional Office" (in your case, the Region I office). These reports frequently describe situations that are time sensitive, and contain Safeguards Information or other information of a proprietary nature.

In order to minimize delays in getting this information to appropriate personnel in Region I, and to assure proper handling of sensitive information, please send all future reports required by 10 CFR 73.71 to the attention of Mr. Thomas T. Martin, Division of Radiation Safety and Safeguards, NRC Region I.

No response to this letter is required. Your cooperation in implementing this request as soon as possible would be appreciated.
