Recently we remitt'ed payment of your invoice #H0940 in the amount I of $29,252.00 covering costs incurred by the NRC pursuant to 10CFR55.
The costs covered in th{ invoice were incurred in the preparation, presentation, and grading of a[research reactor operator's test for two (2) of our employees. .For:a company the size of Aerotest Operations, a bill of $29,000 is a ma,jor cost item. Further, after consultation with other firms operating similar research reactors we have learned that their experience is that examinations should cost no more than
$9,000 per examinee (this was our expectation also).
The purpose of this letter is to request a full accounting of all of the cost components which make up invoice #H0940. Of particular .{'
interest to us is the make-up cf the $27,339 in contractual cost. For instance, what'was billed for expended person-hours and at what rate?
How much went to travel and subsistence expense? Was any audit of these costs made by the NRC7 Your attention to this request and a timely reply would be greatly appreciated.
