REF: Doc #50-228 Gentlemen, Pursuant to my telephone conversations of this date, this letter is to officially notify you of the intention of Mr.
'I.E. Lamb to take early retirement from this company effective Jan. 26, 1990.
As a result of this action, it will be necessary to appoint a successor to Mr. Lamb as Reactor Supervisor.
I have

employment and. educational history.. You-have mentioned your
. concern that-1 explictly satisfy the requirements of our TECH. SPEC. Article 12.1.4 which spells out the qualifications of the Reactor Supervisor.. You will note from my C.V.-that 1 was awarded a B.S. degree in Criminalistics (not Criminology) in 1953. _That degree was conferred by the Univ, of California at

Berkeley..The University established that my degree was in a physical science in as much as the curriculum content was composed of chemistry, physics, biochemistry, calculus, statistics, optics, pathology, and forensic laboratory analysis.
Further, my C.V. indicates that I was Certified in Health Physics
-in 1961 by the-American Board of Health Physics, and have been licensed as a Professional-Nuclear Engineer ( #0136 i by the State of California continuously since 1976.
On.the basis of-my qualifications, and this notification, 1 propose to implement the charges which I have described.
