SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-133/98-01
Dear Mr. Rueger:
On January 26 - 29,1998, an NRC inspection was conducted at your Humboldt Bay Power
Plant No. 3 facility. The enclosed report presents the scope and resuits of that inspection.
Major areas reviewed as part of this inspection included compliance with selected Technical
Specificaions of your license, a review of the 1997 annual exercise, evaluation of the current
condition of the facility against the approved Decommissioning Plan, condition of the spent fuel
pool, evaluation of the tritiura levels detected in your monitoring wells, and closure of the open
item associeted with the caisson sump groundwater in-leakage probier, which has been
repaired.
