Dear Mr. Stello:

Clinton Power Station Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. 50-461 and 50-462 Cons truction Permits No. CPPR-137 & CPPR-138 Mr. H. M. Wescott, Inspector NRC Region III, requested that we review'our records on 10CFR50.55(e), Deficiency Reporting, issues relative to the distribut!on of information copies to your office.

Enclosed are copies of the below listed Illinois Power Company letters sent to NRC Region III regarding 10CFR50.55(e) matters which were inadvertently not sent to NRC Headquarters.

1. Letter 2/26/80 (U-0124), subject matter: defective plug welding on swinging dividers for control room termination cabinets (interim report).
2. Letter 3/31/80 (U-0136), subject matter: use of incorrect soil characteristic value by architect /

engineer as design input for developing building response spectra (interim report) .

3. Letter 4/30/80 (U-0137), subject matter: breakdown in General Electric Co. C&ID quality system; improper QA documentation provided for some local panels (final report).

-4. Letter 6/13/80 (U-0148), subject matter: concrete embeds which provide lateral support for residual heat rencval (RHR) heat exchangers not to design 4 epecification (interim report).

5. Letter 6/24/80 (U-0150), subj ect matter: deficiency in control rod drive (CRD) penetration through drywell '

We do not however, have sufficient information at this time to determine the full extent of the problem, the appropriate corrective action, or a program for prevention of re-currence.
