1. Place the gaitronics label on all working gaitronics devices (normally 2 devices).

U2 Heater Bays, Turbine Shield Wall, DW, and the 1/2B SBGTS area are not or have not been verified audible and are considered non-functional.

Emergency notifications in affected areas require Security support with bullhorns (if occupied). Ref QCOS 900-04 and related IRs.

2. Ensure the Station Emergency Siren is accessible (behind 901-55)
3. Override the evacuation siren start pushbutton as default to prevent the audible siren using ior dihs04140esta default
4. No other simulator setup is required.

2014 ILT NRC JPM SRO Admin 5 - rev 00 INITIAL CONDITIONS

  • This is a time critical JPM.
  • You are an extra SRO.
  • Unit 2 is operating at near rated power.
  • Unit 1 is operating at near rated power and had just completed power ascension from a refuel outage that ended 5 days ago.
  • A security event has occurred.
  • A hostile force has taken control of the Spent Fuel Pool cooling systems on Unit 1 and damaged the system.
  • The Security Department has notified the Control Room that personnel movement is discouraged.
  • Personnel are staging equipment in the 1/2B SBGTS area.
  • 5 minutes ago the Shift Manager has declared a GENERAL EMERGENCY.

INITIATING CUE The Shift Manager has directed you to make the plant announcements per EP-AA-112-F-09 within 15 minutes of event classification to protect on-site personnel.

Notify the Shift Manager of the completion time for the plant announcements.

{When candidate acknowledges the cue, provide the candidate with a copy of procedure EP-AA-112-F-09}

Fill in the JPM Start Time when the student acknowledges the Initiating Cue.

It is acceptable for the candidate to direct the local operator to perform groups of procedure steps instead of calling for each individual item to be performed.
