Emergency Plan Implementing Procedures Revision Pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 50.54(q)(5), and 10 CFR 72.44(f),
the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is submitting a description of changes to the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN) Radiological Emergency Plan (REP). The affected document is the WBN Emergency Plan Implementing Procedures (EPIP) listed below:
EPIP        Revision                                Title          Effective Date 13            30                  Initial Dose Assessment for    09/23/2020 Radiological Emergencies Description of Change EPIP-13 This EPIP revision includes a major technical change that replaced instructions for dose assessments using Integrated Computer System (ICS) Dose Calculator with instructions for the new Meteorological Information and Dose Assessment System (MIDAS) software program .
In addition, editorial and formatting changes have been incorporated to accommodate the new MIDAS instructions and improve the general readability and usability of the EPIP.
 
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission WBL-20-048 October 1, 2020 Page 2 The above changes were evaluated in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(3) and 10 CFR 72.44(f). TVA determined that the changes did not reduce the effectiveness of the WBN REP .
The WBN REP, as revised , continues to meet the requirements in Appendix E to 10 CFR 50 and the planning standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b).
