INSERVICE INSPECTION PROGRAM RELIEF REQUEST SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT NO. 1 DOCKET NO. 50-272 In accordance with 10CFR50.55a(g)(5), Public Service Electric and Gas Company {PSE&G) is requesting relief from the requirements of ASME Section XI regarding the 10-year hydrostatic testing of buried piping in the Salem Unit 1 Auxiliary Feedwater System. In particular, relief is being sought due to an alternative test method used during the recent Salem Unit 1 First 10-Year ISI outage. The relief request is presented in detail in the attachment to this letter and represents the final relief request for the Salem Unit 1 First 10-Year IS! interval.

In accordance with the requirements of 10CFR170.21, a check in the amount of $150.00 is enclosed.
