Public-Service Electric &. Gas Company (PSE&G) has performed a review of-our engineering documentation regarding the types and 1
conposition of swing check valves in use at Salem Unit 2 1
Generating Station in'accordance with Bulletin 89-02.
We hereby confirm that Salem Unit 2 has ten Anchor Darling Model S350W swing check valves.
In-addition, eight Velan swing _
i check valves using'the same type bolting were identified.
During the just completed fifth refueling outage, all eighteen l
~4 valves 5ere inspected and the retaining block studs ~were replaced-with an upgraded' material.
No cracks were noted on any of the studs which were replaced.
