Pursuant to 10'CFR 50.54 (p), a description 'of the revision and copies PTNTQP-R08-4 through PTNTQP-R08-7 of the' plan are enclosed.

Enclosure 1 to this letter is a listing cf changes incorporated in a set of marked-up Revision -7 pages., . Enclosure 2 'contains directions for incorporating Revision 8 and copies of Revision 8' of the plan.

The enclosed material does not contain safeguards-information.. .

CHAPTER 1 - INTRODUCTION

1.1 INTRODUCTION

In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 73.55', Appendix 8, this Training and Qualification Plan outlines the process by which security force personnel assigned to Florida Power and Light Company's (FPL) Turkey Point Plant are selected, trained, tested and qualified. '

Upgraded training requirements. submitted in Revision .07 ~ of this document shall be fully implemented within twelve months ofLthe date .

1.2 OBJECTIVE l

responsible management personnel and by a professionally trained and licensed individual. If a verifying examination is performed which reveals no condition. which would interfere with the.

perfomance of assigned duties, the individual shall be permitted to continue assigned duties.

2.4 PHYSICAL FITNESS QUALIFICATIONS ,,

Subject to a prior physical examination conducted by a licensed physician and written certification that there are no medical reasons to preclude participation by the individual, ' armed personnel shall take a job related physical fitness test' before being assigned armed-duties.

2.4.1 Initial Qualification-

Security force personne1' assigned in an amedLeapacity shall be i

trained and demonstrate proficiency in, the use of firearms (shown by.

duty position in Appendix A of this document) by achieving a passing._ i score prescribed in the Conditions and StandardsEfor' qualification 4 involving live fire as defined in. Appendix 8 of this document.

4.2 QUALIFICATION /REQUALIFICATION-

firearm required by duty position prior to assignment' to-such armed duty and every twelve (12) months,thereafter.:
