CHAPTER 1 - INTRODUCTION
1.1 INTRODUCTION
In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 73.55, Appendix B, this Training and Qualification Plan outlines the process by which security force personnel assigned to Florida Power and. Light Company's (FPL) Turkey Point Plant are selected, trained, tested and qualified.
Upgraded training requirements- submitted in.- Revision: 07 of this document shall be fully-implemented within twelve ' months .of:
the date Revision 07 is approved by the Site -Vice President -
Turkey Point.
1.2 OBJECTIVE The objective of this. plan is to ensure that the security force is capable of performing assigned crucial tasks:necessary to implement Turkey Point's Physical Security.and Safeguards Contin-gency plans.
1.3 SCOPE This plan applies to the crucial tasks- identified' and the.
security personnel whose positions appear .in the Responsibility Matrix, Appendix A. This plan is. not applicable. to nor does: it imply a training program for FPL and contractor management.

responsible management personnel and by a professionally trained and licensed individual. If a verifying examination is performed which reveals no condition which- would interfere with the performance of assigned duties, the individual shall be permitted' to continue assigned duties.
2.4 PHYSICAL FITNESS QUALIFICATIONS Subject to a prior physical examination conducted by a-licens-ed physician and written certification -that there are no medical reasons to preclude participation by.the individual, armed person-nel shall take a job related physical fitness test before being i assigned armed duties.

CHAPTER 4 - FIREARMS 4.1 TRAINING Securit'y force personnel assigned in an armed-capacity shall be trained and demonstrate' proficiency' in the use of firearms (shown by duty position in Appendix ' A of this document) by achieving a passing score- prescribed in- the Conditions and.
Standards for qualification ' involving live. fire as defined in Appendix B of this document. Firearms. qualification includes

4.2 QUALIFICATION /REQUALIFICATION Armed members of the security force will, qualify with each firearm required by duty position prior to' assignment to such armed duty and every twelve (12) months thereafter.
4.3 SECURITY FORCE EQUIPMENT Members of the security. force are provided equipment in accordance with the provisions .of the. approved Turkey Point Physical Security Plan.
