PT R-3 MINOR Revision 1 10-09-78 UNIT 1 AND UNIT 2 CONTAINMENT HYDRAULIC HANGER INSPECTION 1.0 OBJECTIVE The objective of this procedure is to establish consistent guidelines to visually inspect all the safety related hydraulic snubbers as listed in Table 15.3.13-1 and so specified by Paragraph of 15.4.13, requirement
- 1 of the Technical Specifications.
- 2.0 - FREQUENC'l
-This inspection procedure is to be done once per year during the normal refueling period. If any snubber is found to be inoperable, during the inspection or during the inspection interval, the frequency of this in-spection must be increased in accordance with Technical Specifications Paragraph 15.4.13.
3.0 -PROCEDURE
(- All the hydraulic snubbers as listed in this procedure and in Table L '\ . . .15.3.13-1 of. the Technical _ Specifications are to be inspected using -
the following guidelines:
3.1 Check' oil level'in reservoir. ,The( Anker-Holth snubbers on
'the steam generators utilize.a co=non reservoir on top of the
- steam generators. )
3.2 ' Inspect'the piston shaft to be clean and free of scratches or damage.
3.3 Record piston rod axtension'using a machinist's scale for measurement.
~ NOTE: TO INSURE CONSISTENT MEASUREMENTS FRCM INSPECTION TO
? INSPECTION, IT IS'IMPORTANT THAT PISTCN: EXTENSION BE MEASURED AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED DRAWING.
- 3. 4. Check snubber alignment;to insure that pipe motion has not caused' snubber to'become' misaligned and unable'to perform its intended-function.
3.5 'CheckiforLoll leakage at all: seal' points and reservoir fittings.
Look directly below. snubber for signs of oil.
3.6 Check that no nuts, bolts, cotter pins,- etc. , have worked loose, and 'any welds on mounting ' brackets noticeably : cracked.
