TEST (REFUELING SHUTDOWN)
UNIT 2 3.3 When a hydro pump is connected to a radioactive liquid system, maintain the test point valve shut until hydro pump pressure is established and shut the test point valve before securing the hydro pump on depressurizing to prevent contamination of the hydro hose (s) and pump.
J 3.4 Do not overtighten the holddown bolts for the strongback on the 2SI-850 valves. Tighten only as required to minimize seat leakage so that test pressure can be achieved with the hydro pump. The combined forces of valve preloading (due to overtightening) and system pressure may pull the anchor coils out of the concrete floor.
3.5 For the purpcse of valve stroke testing, stroke time is the time it takes the valve to go from full oper to full shut, or full shut to full open, by the control board indication. The stopwatch si ould be started at the moment the control switch is actuated.
j 3.6 2SI-850A r.id 2SI-850B control switches should be danger tagged with the valves shut for foreign material exclusion whenever the Sump B screen is removed, unless operation of the valve is required.
3.7 RHR train unavailability should be minimized whenever fuel is in the vessel.

TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN 96 HOURS BY THE MANAGER -
OPERATIONS OR HIS REPRESENTATIVE.
NOTE 1: Leakage criteria of the Leakage Reduction and Preventive Maintenance Program are used to evaluate leakagefrom residual heat removalsystem components to atmosphere. Totalleakagefrom i
allpost-accident system components located in a specific area of the plant is limited by Criterion 1 or Criterion 2. The totalpost-accident system leakagefrom all areas of the plant is limited by Criterion 3.
l Thus, acceptance of these test results requires their evaluation together with the results of the otherpost-accident system leakage tests.
NOTE 2: Valve through-leakage should not exceed 30 cc/hr per inch of valve diameter. This is only to be used as a guideline, and may be changed to be consistent with the "as-low-as-practicable" philosophy.
NOTE 3: The maximum allowable leakagefrom the RHR system components i
(which includes valve stems, flanges andpump seats) shall not j
exceed two gallons per hour per the Containment Leakage Rate Testing Program Basis Document, Attachment 2.
