FAILURE TO MONITOR THE TRANSFER SYSTEM MAY RESULT IN A CC SPILL IN CONTAINMENT AND A LOSS OF CC WATER FROM THE OPERATING PORTION OF THE CC SYSTEM TO THE CONTAINMENT SUMP.

5.1.10 Open 1CC-1414 and 1415, CC supply low point drains.

5.1.11 Pressurize the CC supply to excess letdown from SA via 1CC-D8 to facilitate draining.

5.1.12 When only air is issuing from ICC-1414 and 1415, then shut 1CC-D8 and disconnect the SA supply.

I

  • CAUTION
  • DO NOT ALLOW THE TRANSFER PUMP TO j

RUN DRY OR PUMP EXCESS AIR INTO THE CC RETURN SYSTEM OR AIR BINDING OF THE OPERATING CC PUMP MAY RESULT.

NOTE:

The Ted self-priming transferpungp is a limited dutypump.

Thepump should be ga ::d atfullflow by starting and stopping thepump versus run continuously on throttled recirc to maintain constant barrellevel.

5.1.13 Pump the contents of the 55 gallon drain collecting barrel to the 4

CC water system via 1CC-1413 until nearly dry.

5.1.14 When all systems are drained including the RCP loops per ORT 68 and 69, ifrequired, then add ~5 gallons of DI. vater to the barrel. Flush the pump on recire, then pump the remainder of the diluted chromates to the system via 1CC-1413.
