The demonstration is to be supported by test dat,i!; ,~s~~ \. --~,***

  • During a meeting.with NRC-stafFand utility representatives held on July 17, 1981, the above provision was discussed in detail and sub-stantial agreement was reached regarding resolution of the requirement.

The details of the utility position is contained in the referenced letter.

As part of the discussion and as further stated in the referenced letter, the utility participants in the EPRI Safety and Relief Valve Test Pro-gram committed to obtain information regarding the performance of pres-surized block valves. The elements of information the utility participants agreed to supply consists of:

A list of block valves used in or intended for use in domestic participating PWR plants A summary of testing done to date that would yield infor-mation concerning the operability of block valves (in-cluding Marshall Steam test results)

In response to NUREG-0737, Item II.D.l.B., this letter transmits the 11 EPRI PWR Safety and Relief Valve Test Program, PORV Block Valve Information Package May 1982. The package contains the following 11 information: *
